Cut my curly hair short?

i have my hair just past my shoukders


it's wavy on the top then goes into ringlets but can be loosened if i want into larger curls.


i always seem to wear it up in a pony tail or bun aand am thinking of getting it cut short so itsx healthier and a lot easier to look after.


would this be a good idea, i want it sort of like these:
